Custom Draperies & Window Treatments in Clayton, MO

Thoughtful design for rooms with character

Charlotte’s Custom Draperies & Blinds serves homeowners in Clayton with custom draperies, Roman shades, blinds, shutters, motorized treatments, and finishing details chosen for their own rooms. Our approach centers on combining elegant materials with a composed, livable result.

Well-chosen draperies can frame windows beautifully, while a quieter shade behind them provides privacy and practical light control. Rather than offering a single formula, we consider window measurements, natural light, privacy, and existing furnishings before recommending a treatment.

Window Treatments Selected for the Way You Live in Clayton

Your windows influence how each room feels from morning through evening. Charlotte’s works with existing furniture, wall colors, floor finishes, and everyday needs rather than starting with a predetermined look. A considered choice of fabric and operating style can add softness, improve privacy, or make sunlight easier to manage.

For a Clayton residence, we can discuss one window or a coordinated series of rooms. A personal design conversation is the starting point for a treatment that looks purposeful and fits the space.

The Experience Behind Every Detail

Owner and designer Paulette De Clue brings more than 25 years of experience, along with fashion-design education from the University of Missouri and Stephens College. Charlotte’s maintains an in-house workroom for custom fabrication, so attention to fabric, construction, and finishing remains part of the design story. For your Clayton project, our goal is a result that feels natural to the room and works with the way you live.

Custom Draperies & Curtains

Custom panels can frame an important window without taking over the interior. Fabric weight, mounting height, length, and header style help determine the look.

Roman, Roller, Solar & Woven Shades

Shades can add control without an elaborate appearance. We can discuss Roman, woven, roller, and solar options and how each suits the room.

Custom Blinds & Interior Shutters

Custom blinds and shutters offer an alternative to fabric-heavy treatments. We consider the amount of privacy, ease of operation, and coordination with room finishes.

Layered Window Treatments

Combining shades with side panels offers flexible function and added depth. We consider mounting, overlap, color, and everyday access when developing the arrangement.

Motorized Window Treatments

A motorized solution may support smoother daily use, especially for repeated adjustments. We discuss the practical requirements and product options before selection.

Valances, Cornices & Decorative Hardware

Valances, cornices, rods, finials, and trims can complete a window composition. The choice should complement surrounding cabinetry, furniture, and architectural details.

Finding the Right Balance in Clayton Interiors

For a Clayton home, we can consider the relationship between window proportions, trim, wall color, and existing furnishings. Whether the goal is privacy or a more finished look, the treatment should feel integrated into the room rather than added as an afterthought.

Clayton homeowners do not need to settle for the same solution in every room. A personal consultation helps distinguish which windows should be a focal point and which are best served by quieter, functional treatments.
